PROJECT DESCRIPTION

R&C were asked to repair a stone bridge dating back to 1520, in Water Orton. Previously a Heritage England structure, R&C used specialist Stonemasonry skills to repair the damage, caused by a RTC, to repair the bridge to its original condition.

Red and White mixed Hollington Stone along with a lime mortar mix were used to maintain the aesthetics of the bridge. Existing stone that was not too damaged was marked up and reinstalled in its rightful place. Working in conjunction with the Environment Agency and Heritage England, the bridge was reopened ahead of schedule with high praise from the client and the local public.
